Family of Christ Lutheran Women in Mission (LWML) is part of the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS).  It is a sisterhood of Lutheran women working side by side, growing together, and caring for each other as they serve when and where our Lord has need of them.  We encourage and invite all women to participate and grow in their relationship with the Lord through Bible study, serving together in fellowship, and supporting missions and missionaries around the world and in our own backyards.  We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 1pm with a new Bible study each month followed by a brief meeting and fellowship.  ALL women are invited to join us as your schedule allows.  In addition to monthly meetings, Lutheran Women in Mission also provides opportunities for women to gather with women from other churches at the annual Spring and Fall rallies, a Winter Workshop, as well as our District and National Conventions.

 

We support the District and National Mission Grants through Quarterly Mite Offerings.  Small mite boxes are available to be filled with coins and/or cash and returned to the large Mite box for our quarterly collection.  Our group also collects, cleans, sorts and ships over 1,200 prescription pill bottles each year to Matthew 25 Ministries to help improve medical care worldwide as well as cares for our environment by recycling.  We collect “Gifts from the Heart” donations for various charities a few times during the year as well as partner with our VBS program to collect and deliver school supplies for The Sharing Tree.  Our annual National Day of Prayer Service, Advent by Candlelight, our Mail Ministry, and serving Advent and Lenten meals are other activities that our group hosts.
