Finding God in Nature

Our Garden Friends group is for all those who share a love of God’s creation. We actively garden spring through fall and host an annual plant sale each June. The church sits on just under 7 acres that needs tending from trees and shrub trimming to flower care. All ages are welcome – including children!

Prayer Path

Follow the prayer path that will lead you through the area. Sit a spell on one of several benches along the way. As you stroll the path look for the Bluebird houses and the Bluebirds that nest in them. The path can be walked year-round. Enjoy the variety of beauty that the changing seasons bring and ponder the wonder of God’s creation—you will be renewed!

Butterfly Garden

In the summer, you may be joined on your visit by a monarch butterfly or two! Both the Family of Christ Butterfly Garden and the Children’s Garden have been certified as Monarch Waystations since 2020. It is a special honor to care for God’s endangered species.

Children’s Garden

Our youth are invited to help with the church’s outdoor spaces where they learn how to plant and tend to the many kinds of flowers and vegetables. Each spring the Sunday School children start seeds indoors and tend to them so they can plant their seedlings in their special garden at the end of the school year.

Food Pantry Garden

Established in 2016 this garden is various kinds of vegetables, and all are harvested for donation to the Hudson Area Food Cupboard and the Grace Place family shelter in New Richmond. Many pounds of green beans, peppers, tomatoes, and more are donated each year.
